Topo Athletic was founded by shoe-making royalty, Tony Post (TO PO) whose career began at Rockport before he rose to become the CEO of Vibram USA. Keen to fix all of the problems he saw in the footwear of the time, Tony decided the easiest way was to begin making his own.

The fit is wider and roomy in the toe box, made to be robust and with a low drop. If you like room to wiggle your toes or you have wide feet, then Topo should definitely be on your radar.
