What is 1% for the Planet?

1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual memberships and everyday actions.

1% for the Planet advises business members on strategies for giving, certifies our donations, and amplifies the impact of environmental conservation through their network of partner organisations.

How Does It Work?

As a 1% for the Planet Business Member, The Trail Co. commits to donate the equivalent of 1% of our gross sales to approved environmental non-profit organisations, every year. This is before costs and regardless of profit.

Every time you spend with us, we will donate 1% of your purchase to environmental charities.

How You Can Help

Just by shopping with The Trail Co., you're supporting us and our environmental giving. However, the urgent issues facing our planet need so much more than they’re currently receiving. 1% for the Planet states that, currently, only 3% of philanthropy goes toward environmental giving.

While there are many ways to give back, 1% for the Planet provides two membership programs: business membership and individual membership, which garner additional value and opportunity to those committed to supporting our planet.

Through business and individual memberships, 1% for the Planet's goal is to significantly increase the overall amount of global dollars going towards protecting the planet, with the smartest donations possible.

By being a 1% for the Planet Business Member, The Trail Co. stands by this intention for change.
