    This is our back yard, yard stick. A loop from The Gap Park and Ride out to (and through) the infamous Hell Hole Break and back.

    Expect grinding uphills, fast downhill, a dusting of technical, fire trail and a creek crossing for good measure. With 20kms and just short of 1,000m of elevation gain it's a great hit-out, and a good loop to practise a variety of trail running skills on week after week.

    We suggest you mentally break this run into 3 sections:
    1. Start > Mcaffee's Lookout
    2. Hell Hole Break
    3. South Boundary Road > Finish

    Pro Tips

    Don't join the many unsuspecting runners who have gone wrong at the Centre Rd / South Boundary Rd intersection where the appears to head straight on down Centre Rd. Keep right (if doing the loop anti-clockwise) to South Boundary to avoid an unintentionally long hill rep.

    The OG direction for this loop in anti-clockwise, starting out from The Gap Park and Ride, up Nebo Break. However, in summer, it's particularly nice to do this loop clockwise and finish at the swimming area at the ressie for a cool down.
