My favourite vest by far

I love the super soft material and usual Salomon shape/fit which is always comfortable for long runs and races. The 10L capacity works well if you've got lightweight gear or are doing races with a medium amount of mandatory gear. For something like UTA100 I might still choose the Adv Skin 12 pack to fit the bulkier warm weather gear but given a choice, it will be this one every time!

Don't waste your money

When running ultras one of the most important parts of the vest for me are the soft flask holders. The elastic bands are supposed to hold both flasks in place, making it easy to drink from both no matter how much fluid is in the flask. For some reason these elastic bands are a critical point of weakness on this vest and within 5 minutes of running, both fail. I have already returned one vest to Trail Co and received a replacement, only for the same thing to happen when using the replacement vest. A really disappointing experience as I would have expected much better from Salomon. The company should address this and rectify the design ASAP. A simple clip onto the flask would solve this issue.
